Sysiphus's Lament

There's the apocryphal story that Phelan Kell and the Kell Hounds encountered 'unknowns' in a system called 'The Rock' in the coreward periphery, on an asteroid called 'Sisyphus's Lament.'
Kell's targeting computer was confused by the type of mech it was trying to identify, which was alien in form and had never been catalogued. It kept switching between 'Mad' and 'Cat,' because it couldn't decide whether the target was a Marauder or a Catapult. It was neither.
It was, it turns out, a Clan Wolf 'Timber Wolf.' The Inner Sphere militaries just called it a 'Mad Cat.' If this story is true, it probably looked like this:
